George Harrison - Does this name strike a chord to you? Yeah, if you are a fan of Beatles, the rock n roll music would blast you to Cloud Nine! Though Ringo Starr has always been my fav in the Beatles band, George Harrison was the best with his 'My Guitar Gently weeps' - Today, thousands of people miss him as we remember this great star who dies on 29th November due to Cancer! Here Comes the Sun was a number that made me hum all day long.

You know what? George Harrison became a lifelong devotee of Hindu religion, Krishna consciousness and Vedic philosophy! He had song writing talents and a great Guitar player. He did a large scale concert for the war torn Bangla deshi kids. Cloud Nine was Harrison’s most Beatlesque solo record.

George Harrison died of brain cancer on November 29, 2001, at a friend’s home in Los Angeles at the age of 58 years old. Exactly a year later, Eric Clapton and Olivia Harrison organized The Concert for George - a tribute performance that involved the remaining ex-Beatles, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr and I believe, Indian sitarist Ravi Shankar also been a part of it. Proceeds went to Harrison’s Material World Charitable Foundation, which he’d founded back in 1973.

"Parental feedback wins for life time Relationship" - I really mean this! Coz Growing up kids is a wonderful experience and if you miss out on this, you do land up to Power struggles with your kids who bang when they grow up!

Most of the parents adopt the system of 'Teaching skills' rathar than go through 'Teaching Life Essetial Skills'. Psychologists caution against casting children in specific roles: the quiet one, athletic one, smart one, clumsy one and even a negative type can provide harmful self image that a child may carry throughout his life. It is upto the parent to be an 'emotion coach' and teach the kids to cope up with situations of strengths and weaknesses and build up productive relationships.

I recommend a Book 'Kids, Parents, and Power Struggles', Kurcinka offers unique approaches to solving the daily, and often draining, power struggles between the parent and the child. Authority over the child never works and this is one thing not to miss out if a parent wish for a positive answer to 'How will I want my child to behave when he turns a teenager?

How oft we hear of people being killed? Died with natural calamities like Earthquake, Tsunami or the Hurricane. Killed in War and burnt alive or buried dead. This is real harsh reality as we see thousands of people dying every day in any part of the world. Our hearts bleed for the injured and the dead when we see the scenes on the small screen or on the web. This gives us a rise to the thought - Is human life at a brink of extinction?

Whatever, the real concern is 'After the calamity strikes'. When 9/11 took place, the horror still is alive in our minds and so is the Earthquake still devastating with recent casualties in Pakistan and Kashmir, shattering our emotions. Do we ever think of the after consequences? It's almost forgotten later. With the Iraq War, the environmental consequences are facing threats of acid rain as well as respiratory and carcinogenic effects in humans accordingly. With the chemical and bio weapons with depleted Uranium (DU) causes lung cancer, kidney failure and many diseases. The burning oil wells has environmental problems and as oil is spilled in seas and ground, the hazard is yet to combat. As per the Greenpeace.org report 1,90,000 sympathizers have signed the 'Ban Uranium weapons' formed by International commission, 2003.

Natural calamities are beyond human control but why wage war? Why do people have to fight over religions, lands and spread terrorism? Only god knows but its human destruction and the land of the lord 'Earth' is in real trouble!

Here's a recent Question of a reader Katharine Biddle Barrette, received by Kidsfreesouls:Earth Talk on Iraq War environmental problems - It says All........
